SFR Photo gallery Environmental education related to sustainability usually explains climate change and the actions to be undertaken in an alarmist and pessimist tone and disregards the role of the community and civil society.

Schools for Resilience (SfR) introduces a new approach in school environmental education, based on community action and a socio-constructivist approach (where learning is an active, constructive process), in which students will define the most appropriate responses for their local community in a positive and creative way.
The project fosters the sense of initiative, entrepreneurship and creativity, which can bring to reality the 21st century school, one that is open to the outside world, uses innovative active-learning methods and makes learning relevant.
